Pananbur Beach is located at a distance of 10 kms from the Mangalore city. One can take a easy roadway facility by Kochi-Panvel Highway by personal vehicle or City Bus which is quiet frequent.

Beautiful breakwater is set at end of the beach which is barrier and entry to New Mangalore Port. One can enjoy beautiful scenes of ships closely by reaching the Breakwater shed which illegal though according to the guidelines of New Mangalore Port Authority.

Panambur beach has Jet ski rides, Boating, Dolphin viewing, Food stalls, besides Trained Beach Lifeguards and Patrol vehicles to ensure the safety of the visitors to the beach.
With increase in the number of tourist the Mangalore Tourism department has introduced activities like horse Riding,Water-scooter, Parasailing, Camel rides. The beach is available for Private Parties, Product & Service launch events, Promotions, and Weddings.

Due to the good maintenance of the beach by Panambur Beach Tourism Development Project, Panambur Beach has been awarded as one of the cleanest & best maintained Beaches in the country.
Panambur Beach, a really calm place to feel the sand and waves on your foot. I really enjoyed my time there. Since there are a lot of places to visit in mangalore. I haven't had the time to spend a few more evenings at the beach.
